The SBS-MD-7 handheld metal detector from Steinberg can detect objects at a depth of up to 10 cm. You can choose from three different signals. The detector alerts you to the distance from the object using LED lights, a signal tone, and vibrations. The alarms increase in intensity based on the proximity of the target. The LEDs indicate how far the metal is from the detector – they begin to glow when the detector nears a metal object, and glow brighter as it gets closer.

If, for example, a nearby metal object is interfering with detection, you can easily adjust the sensitivity to avoid problems and interference. The vibrations increase in frequency as the sensor approaches a metal object.
