The plasma cutter S-Plasma 85H from Stamos Selection is specifically tailored for the demanding German market. It offers high-quality plasma technology in conjunction with functionality that is convincing in trade and industry. But even ambitious do-it-yourself enthusiasts will find the right tool in the cutter to carry out their repairs and renovations at a high level.
The cutting current reaches 85 amps at its peak, which is achieved with a duty cycle of 60 percent. With a duty cycle of 100 percent, a high 65.8 amps are still possible. These performance values are sufficient to cut workpieces up to 27 millimetres thick. The plasma cutter can cut tool steels as well as stainless steel and other high-alloy steels. Even aluminium, copper and titanium can't resist the powerful plasma arc of the S-Plasma 85H.
The Stamos tool offers two different working modes so that maximum progress can be achieved with every task. In 2-stroke mode, the torch will run for as long as the power switch is pressed. In 4-stroke mode, a single tap is sufficient to activate the burner and another tap to switch it off. This mode provides countless advantages for continuous operation. The handle position on the torch can be varied during work to reduce fatigue and physical strain.
The Stamos plasma cutter works with three-phase alternating current at an operating voltage of 400 V. This makes it the ideal tool for automotive workshops, commercial metalworking companies and industrial production. In addition, it also supports DIY enthusiasts in their demanding renovation and repair projects.
The torch is ignited via a pilot plasma arc. Regulate the compressed air required for plasma cutting via an external pressure reducer. Depending on the requirements and conditions, select the external compressor. This makes the unit very flexible and easy to transport. To prevent oxidation or deformation on the workpiece after a cut, the air supply continues for a distinct period of time. The run-on time can be preset between 2 and 15 seconds directly on the power unit.
The air is also cooled by the post-flow of the burner to avoid the risk of damage. The base unit is also equipped with a powerful fan cooling system to prevent overheating. However, if the operating temperature does experience a sudden increase, it will trigger the overheat protection.
Problems with the operating temperature as well as other malfunctions are indicated by an LED on the control unit. The LED display for the cutting current and the cutting current controller are also located in this clearly visible space on the front of the unit. The cutting current can reach between 20 and 85 amps and is thus well above the performance data of the competition. With a product weight of 20 kilograms, the plasma cutter has sufficient mass to maintain safe footing even in a rugged working environment.

I've been using the device for a few years now and it still does its job excellently. Every now and then clean it from dirt and dust and that's it. What I can't understand is that some people have problems getting spare parts for the burner. The P80 burner is very common and a whole box of consumable parts from the Chinese shop around the corner only costs a few euros.

I bought S-85 H plasma ignition with pilot start from f. STAMOS at a price of 652 euros and the cutter remained "deaf" when it was started for the first time, it was a huge disappointment for me. On the indicator A, the values that I set, otherwise nothing, were just shining. I had the air at 6 etc. The switch on the gun is not working, no air or flame. I also contacted f. expondo, but no answer about the defective machine. Otherwise, the videos show how everything works, but I experienced a disappointment that I haven't seen in a long time because the price of the machine was quite high. I don't even give a star

Works great no problems. A bit sensitive when starting, if you don't have a potentiometer for Ampere and gas in the starting position, the 16A fuse trips in the central unit. May require larger fuse. Once it's up and running, no problems. Transport damage to the machine but it is not the machine's fault.
