Awesome post

A very complete station, accepts 5 kg coils without problems, only 1 0.8/1 roller delivered with it, but the rollers are standard and available on the web. I have been welding for several years, but this is the first time I have tried cored wire, and it is a real revelation. The station keeps its promises, the 250A max are not just theoretical (checked with the ammeter clamp). The synergic mode settings are consistent, in MMA mode the hot start % setting is a plus which brings great comfort to the ignition. I regret that the station is delivered with such a short ground cord, few edibles for the torch, but in the end these are accessories available everywhere, the station is nonetheless very complete. To my taste, it lacks a pair of casters at the back and 2 rubber pads at the front, but the locations are provided, so an improvement in sight. For the price, and in this weight category (-7kg without coil) very practical for carrying around on site, I recommend it for anyone looking for a light but versatile and powerful station.

Product Description

The MIG/MAG welder integrates digital technology for precise welds every time

The MIG/MAG welding machine MAGITEX 250 makes use of state-of-the-art IGBT inverter technology, delivering both flexibility and quality. The infinitely variable regulation of the welding current up to 250 A ensures optimum welding seams for a wide variety of welding jobs. When welding with wire, choose between solid wire, requiring a shielding gas, or flux-cored wire without additional gas. The MIG welding machine is supplemented with the option for electrode welding, allowing you to use it outdoors in windy conditions. You can also use the TIG Liftarc function.

MIG welding machine from Stamos Germany with intuitive control panel

The clear control panel ensures all values are easily monitored. Equally straightforward is the selection of the welding method between MIG/MAG, TIG Liftarc, flux, and MMA, as well as the transition between 2T and 4T mode. At full power, the MIG welder reaches 250 A and 60 % duty cycle. There is an integrated compartment for the wire spool. Depending on the characteristics and diameter of the welding wire, choose the appropriate mode on the control panel or activate the sync mode for automatic control. MIG welding uses inert gases for copper, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys; MAG welding with active gases is ideal for mild steel, steel and most of its alloys. If you want to weld without shielding gas, use a cored wire and select flux mode.

The TIG welding process uses Liftarc ignition to activate the arc. For spot welding, select the spot function on the display. You can easily control the amperage up to 200 A via the control panel. MMA welding mode is primarily used for iron or copper, as well as for alloys such as cast iron or steel. As you do not need gas to weld with a coated electrode, you can also use the device in adverse conditions such as wind. The Arc Force function stabilises the arc and thus enables optimum welding results.

Fast delivery. The product looks good, but I haven't had time to test it. A little lacking information about thread spool size.

The device fully meets my expectations. The only drawback was that the size of the spool of thread was missing from the technical data. I give 5 stars
