Cervical Spine Model PHY-SM-3
At approx. 10 centimetres tall, the cervical spine model PHY-SM-3 from Physa is a life-sized, 1:1 depiction of the human bone structure. It is intended for use as an instructional aid in science and education as well as in surgeries, clinics and laboratories. The cervical spine model provides a highly-detailed portrayal of structures like the occipital bone, cervical vertebrae (atlas (C1), axis (C2), C3-C7 cervical vertebrae), cervical nerves, spinal arteries and spinal cord.
Thanks to the exceptionally detailed representation, it is the perfect instructional model for educating and training chiropractors, midwives, medical students, physical therapists and acupuncturists. The vivid portrayal makes this model a frequent presence in physiotherapeutic clinics and medical institutions.
The core of the model is made of high-quality steel, which makes the instructional aid so flexible that it can reproduce natural human movement. This can be a valuable experience for pupils and students when it comes to developing a feel for the anatomical details in order to prepare themselves for the everyday challenges of the medical profession.
The cervical spine model is made of hard PVC which provides both extremely high tensile strength and an exceptionally realistic reproduction of the surface of the cervical vertebrae. In addition, the specialised plastic is easy to clean and maintain. The model weighs just 300 grams including pedestal – making it suitable for mobile applications. It belongs to the standard equipment of any orthopaedic surgery.
