The natural beehive was made from 20mm thick fir wood. This material combines lightness with high durability – in dry and wet environments. With the stainless steel cover and the high-quality workmanship with wax-coated dovetail joints, the hive is extremely resistant to external influences. On the inside, there are optimal thermal conditions for the bees thanks to the excellent insulation. With recessed grips on each side, the hive bees can be easily used, cared for or transported.

The Dadant hive impresses with its single brood chamber. This makes it easier for you to keep track of your colony's growth. Please note that Dadant hives work with two frame sizes: large frames for the brood chamber, small frames for the honey chamber. With the – in comparatively – few large frames you save time with the swarm control. In addition, your bees will hibernate safely due to the large brood chamber. As is typical for magazine hives, the honeycombs can be easily removed and just as easily reinserted after centrifuging. Due to the widespread size, spare parts or extensions are easy to find. With the well thought out agricultural equipment, exchanging honeycombs and even bee colonies between beekeepers becomes child's play.
