1 in 3 buttons fails (crooked pressing). Upright metal base was already cracked after only 500 pieces. The 2000 voted buttons... it was a bit optimistic and most of them are now gathering dust. This is a device for making an occasional button, but not suitable for several hundred let alone more.

The product image misled us, as we assembled the device exactly like that. Success: No button even after several attempts... So we looked at other, similarly built button machines and realized that the two metal tabs on pots A and B do not have to be turned forwards, as in the image, but backwards towards the small lever on the upper pot C. And lo and behold, the machine now works perfectly, as when you push pot A under pot C, the upper plate moves and can therefore pick up and hold the button. If you now push pot B under pot C, it is automatically turned back again and can now pick up the needle that has been placed ready.

Making buttons with the button maker is very easy. It is operated with a manual lever and a suitable form that requires little manual skill. Just get creative and show your friends your first professional button!
