Excellent product, very functional, comfortable and takes up little space, just a little noisy. Buy it
I am the technician of a computer and smartphone assistance center. We have from 10 to 20 electronic devices a day, which require maintenance through this station which so far has been able to be a valid ally. The materials are of high quality and by reading the entire manual you learn many useful notions that you would otherwise ignore. Until now Since its purchase, this machine has shown no sign of failure or wear, maintaining the temperature of the tip constant. Excellent product purchased at a price that I consider advantageous.
I'll start by saying that there is no evaluation between order and delivery... while you complete everything and click on send the product is already at home... if things worked 1/4 of how they work on Amazon. ..the world would definitely be better, because there is a relationship that is sometimes fictitious and sometimes real, but still exists and that is the important thing, between those who buy, those who sell and those who deliver exceptionally...all united for that hour.. .day...or week until everything has been resolved...As far as the station is concerned, it is serious, of good workmanship being German, even if there are elements made in China, but they are probably made with a different caliber ( see Apple), and is above all functional. I had read about the noise or vibration... just play with the sheet metal bulkheads of the casing for a moment... maybe give a quarter turn to some screws, if you want to be picky. Now we just have to wait for the duration and hope that it is excellent too..
I am satisfied with the soldering ability with this station, the temperature can be adjusted one step at a time in the range specified by the manufacturer, the same applies to blowing warm air. As for the suction function, I'm slightly disappointed, it does work, but it's only visible when set to the highest levels and if I'm not mistaken, a small compressor is probably used for that, but in my case it's either poorly fixed or maybe poorly lubricated, just it is noisy and vibrates with the whole station. The overall processing and quality roughly matches the price. I'm satisfied, it's just a shame about the compressor. Maybe I'll fix it by trading in some kind of fan or something.
I like the operation and concept of the soldering station so far. In many situations it is much easier to work with the hot air than with the piston, the heating output of the hot air is sufficient and the temperature control is ok. 5 stars for the hot air. The same pump seems to be used for the soldering suction of the soldering iron. This is quite practical because the smoke is sucked away right near the soldering point and doesn't come directly into your face. Only, the built-in “filter” looks poor and will have about zero protective effect. The smoke comes into the room almost 1:1, just not directly into the face. But that's something, you should ventilate regularly in this hobby anyway. You have to get used to the thicker hose on the soldering iron, it's doable. I'm dissatisfied with the heating output of the soldering iron. My 16W Ersa soldering iron from the 1990s does more than this supposed 75W soldering iron. It's not possible to solder any HF copper ribbons, so I still use my 36W Weller piston. Yes, you read that right, it only has half the power. There must really be something wrong with the soldering iron. I also doubt that the displayed temperature of the soldering iron has anything in common with the temperature of the soldering tip. It's been saying 350°C for a while and normal solder doesn't melt. It can't be. There are jobs where you have to maintain a lower maximum temperature and a lower maximum time for the soldering work. This is only possible with good control and a lot of performance. That's why I see this device less, even if it advertises itself as such. Dismantling the soldering tip shows that the soldering tip does not fit positively on the heating rod. Mine has a 1mm slot in between. I mean, we expect smaller gaps in cars. But air insulates heat, isn't that so? I incorporated a piece of copper in a very complicated C-shape so that everything can stretch. Now it's a little better. Every used 20-year-old analog Ersa soldering station solders better. Well, but only if you can find SMD-capable soldering tips. For fine work such as SMD or classic components, the soldering iron is sufficient. However, anyone who is in the HF range or has thicker cables to solder will quickly become unhappy. The hot air part of the station is quite decent and everything together is worth the price despite the deductions. I would like to see temperature control for the hot air down to the lowest level to 50 °C, then you could also do some work with plastic with it. The minimum temperature of 100°C is clearly too hot for this. The soldering head belongs in the redesign. This means it falls short of the class of top devices. Good entry-level device that you can buy even if you know about the flaws.
I bought the soldering station somewhere else, not on Amazon. But since I looked for reviews myself and only found the "review" from December 28, 2016, which doesn't say anything, I'm also rating it here. Basic version is really meant that way. No other soldering tips included (original Set 30€ but other cheap steps also fit.) etc. but nozzles for the hot air unit. A small, unfortunately cheap, blue sponge that is quite thin and a soldering iron holder (with the possibility of storing 10 soldering tips and a solder dispenser. I would rather buy the set For 30€ more (price today) there are soldering tips and, according to the picture, a magnifying lamp... important to me is that the soldering iron and cable are quite light and the cable is very flexible. I have now removed the suction, on the one hand you sometimes get stuck on components and The hum of the motor (which also provides the hot air) is quite loud even at the lowest level and the soldering station vibrates very strongly. This is not healthy for the components and the noise is annoying and monotomous. Decoupling should already be considered by the manufacturer in the price range .with the 75 watts, the soldering iron reaches the temp (310°C for me) estimated in about 30 seconds according to the display, of course the tip needs a little longer, similar to a hot air iron. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and have already had a good time with the soldering station worked better than the china sets but of course it can't keep up with the 300€+ stations. the instructions are really great... but what hobbyist needs them ;)
The device makes a good impression from the outside, but it cannot be rated 100% because the technical drawings are a 0. You have to guess the accessories. The safety instructions are very comprehensively described for small children and also the disposal instructions.......mfg . A.Juche
