This sheet metal bending machine is great for making wheel arches, window frames or trunk gutters in workshops or on construction sites. Force is transmitted through a hand lever. Shrink and stretch sheets of 1.2-mm thick steel or 1.8-mm thick aluminium into the desired shape. The hardened steel jaws make the work uncomplicated and quick. With this sheet metal bending tool, you can create even tight angles with a radius of 8.45 mm.
Shrinking metal is a professional solution for bending metals to the desired shape. This technique serves as the basis for forming curves, like for example the old mudguards on classic cars. The long-lasting jaws pull the metal together when the lever is engaged. You can heat the metal from time to time to avoid possible tearing.
You should not use your full strength to stretch the metal. The sheet needs to be worked with patience. To create professional narrow radii, work over the sheet with the stretch tool multiple times. As with shrinking, it's best to work carefully and slowly. Working too quickly can cause the metal to tear.
