Fast, tight pipe connections with the pipe installation tool kit from MSW's professional tools collection
There are three steps to creating a sliding sleeve connection: First, push the sliding sleeves onto the pipes. Then expand the respective pipe ends from within using the expanding pliers until they have the desired diameter. Next, insert the fitting into the expanded pipe ends. Finally, slide the sliding sleeves firmly over the fitting in the pipes using the crimping pliers—and the sliding sleeve connection is ready. You can shorten the pipes using the pipe shears either before or afterwards.
Important tip: Don't let any time elapse between widening and crimping the pipe—depending on the material, the previously widened pipe can shrink back to its original diameter. There are four differently-sized and easy-to-exchange pressing jaws included in the extensive accessories so you can connect PEX pipes measuring 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm in diameter.
Experts consider this system to be the safest connection technique between pipes: Fragile rubber seals, which become porous over time, are superfluous with this method. This guarantees the maximum safety and longevity of pipe installations and means you won't need to later open up the wall due to leaking pipes. In addition, freshly connected pipes are immediately fully capable of bearing loads and the pipe diameter is reduced less than with other methods.
The crimping tool is made of a robust aluminium alloy and is especially durable. The compact sizes of the crimping pliers, expander tool and pipe shears enable you to work effectively in even the tightest spaces. The pipe installation tool kit comes with a sturdy plastic case with practical handle for safe transport and storage.
