Heavy Duty Battery Charger - 12/24 V - 8/12 A
A powerful charging capacity and easy operation are the excellent properties of the heavy-duty battery charger S-Charger-20A from MSW. Be it in the commercial or private sector, this battery charger is a cost-effective device, which pays off with its remarkably long shelf life. Because regular maintaining the battery power can substantially increase the usage time of the batteries in your motorcycle, car or other type of automobile.
The charging process for lead-acid batteries with a capacity of 12 to 200 Ah is controlled by two practical toggle switches: 12 or 24 V and MIN or MAX. MIN is the default setting for averagely discharged batteries, MAX is switched to for very heavily discharged batteries. Depending on whether the battery is only weakened by a lot of short trips or is almost discharged due to power-guzzling extras such as window or seat heating, you are prepared for every charging situation with the MIN or MAX levels. Before charging, always check that your battery meets the recommended battery capacity.
During normal operations, 12-V- and 24-V- batteries quickly and reliably receive their full energy performance with a charging current of up to 12 A Considering its power, the battery charger remains very moderate in terms of energy use, with a maximum of 0.5 kW. Particularly practical: The car battery does not have to be removed in order to be loading – a connection to a power cable and a weather-proofed space in a garage or hall suffices.
Since both the power and the charging cable are solidly built into the housing, they cannot get lost even in the busy everyday life of a workshop. The ventilation slots, which keep the charger at a harmless operating temperature even in continuous use, are also helpful in practice. This prevents short circuits or dangerous flying sparks thanks to the built-in fuse.
The analogue display, clearly visible during the charging, keeps you informed about the charging current until the battery has been recharged. The carrying handle, compact dimensions and a total weight of only 4 kg means that the battery charger is mobile and requires only a minimum of space.

Why should I adjust the charging current?
If you use a low charging current, you will need more time to charge the battery, but the battery will be saved when charging. A high or maximum charging current speeds up the charging process but shortens the life of the battery.
