Product Description

The perfect foundation for honeycombs on the centre wall

If you want an optimal honey yield, then make sure you have a good foundation! Your bees will diligently build bee cells on the plastic honeycomb from Wiesenfield, and fill them with high-yield honey. With this set you get 20 middle walls at once! The plastic honeycombs also prove to be particularly easy to care for and sustainable, because you will use the cleaned centre walls several times. For easy handling, the centre wall is fitted with a notch that you can conveniently hang in the frame.

The easy-care plastic centre panel with ramekins

To prepare the centre wall bees, wax the pre-formed combs thoroughly. Only on the waxed surfaces do your bees also build cells to deposit honey there. Each honey cell has a size of 5.4 mm and is ideal for depositing honey. For growing, use a melted out drone construction. After spinning, remove and dispose of the used wax. This way you will achieve an open wax cycle, which ensures optimal hygienic conditions in the hive.
The plastic honeycombs are extremely easy to clean. They are hosed down with a high-pressure cleaner or cleaned with hot water below 65 °C and disinfected in a lye bath at 50 °C. If you are only using a few plastic honeycombs, use a stick chisel or spatula for dewaxing. To prevent the plastic centre walls from warping, treat them with water below 65 °C and hang unneeded plastic combs back in the frame.
