Product Description

Stainless steel honey strainer with flat coarse strainer and curved fine strainer

Before bottling, a high-quality honey must be cleaned of wax particles, wood splinters from the frame or parts of dead bees using a honey strainer. The honey strainer from Wiesenfield, with its combination of a flat coarse sieve and a curved fine sieve, is ideal for initial filtration immediately after the honey is extracted.

The indispensable classic of beekeeping supplies

Thanks to the double construction of the honey sieve, the product runs directly from the coarse-meshed sieve into the denser inner sieve below and can be filled as pre-cleaned honey into a tightly sealable container. With a diameter of 24 cm, and thanks to the extendable support brackets, the honey filter can be used for buckets or containers from this diameter or above. The double layer honey strainer is made of high-quality stainless steel and is therefore highly hygienic and ideally suited for processing food. Stainless steel is also very easy to clean and impresses with its high durability.
Note on use: Both the fine and coarse sieves can become clogged during the filtration process. If this happens, you should stop extracting the honey and clean and dry the strainer before continuing with processing. After straining, the honey should rest for several hours to allow the finest particles and air bubbles to rise to the surface of the honey. The resulting foam can then be skimmed off with a flat spoon.
