The SWH01 welding hood from Stamos Welding, made of flame-retardant cotton fabric, is specially designed to protect you from heat and sparks during welding. Accordingly, it is suitable for a variety of different techniques such as: MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma, spot and gas welding, as well as plasma and torch cutting, seam filling, soldering and thermal electric arc spraying. The hood is intended to be used as a supplement to your welding helmet to protect your head and neck. I have a problem with wearing a flip-up hood now, so I switched to welding goggles and this hood is the best additional solution I've found on the market. According to the parameters, it seemed excellent to me and after the purchase I praise it for how well it fits and how pleasant it is to wear. I would have given 5 points if the manufacturer had improved the hood even more, perhaps by adding one extra strip with velcro, shaped over the nose. For now, I solve it with a non-flammable scarf over the nose and mouth, from a competitor. Otherwise, complete satisfaction!
