Stable

A very important feature that comes to mind at first glance is the very good stability of the device after assembly. The second thing is a very good feeling of quality after assembly, each element fits well, the brass and plastic elements hold together perfectly - it's really very good. Another thing is that turning on the vice works well and precisely, it guides you to the designated point very well. Another thing is the lack of runouts and vibrations, which significantly improves accuracy. The engine works very well, has adequate power for most work and is not 100% sufficient for my purposes, and I even have a large reserve. To sum up, I believe that the device can be easily purchased by a semi-professional or even for professional use. I consider my purchase very good!

Product Description

The compact bench drill for precise results

Do you want to drill vertically and precisely into wood, chipboard, MDF, metal, plastic and other materials? Then the bench drill with its smooth-running and powerful 550 W motor is the tool of first choice! With the comfortably equipped bench drill, you can achieve clean and high-quality drilling results with millimetre precision for a wide range of requirements in wood and metal workshops. This will give you access to several individual setting options.

Set up the stand drill where you need it most

First of all, there are the five drilling speeds with which you can set the speed between 440 and 3100 rpm. This way, you can adjust the power of the bench drill press specifically to the material and your desired end result. Another practical and dimensionally accurate presetting is the variable position of the drilling table. Not only can you adjust the height of the work surface, but also select an angle between -45° and 45° on the column. This way, the work piece rests at an angle and is secure, while the drill perpendicularly penetrates the material. Evenly regulate the drilling depth up to 80 mm with a three-arm spindle and gear drive.

Use the power tool for an optimum range of drill bits: the drill chuck with a B16 taper holds thicknesses between 1.5 and 13 mm, so you can handle all common drill holes with confidence. The drilling area is illuminated with the help of an LED light. To ensure that you can line up the drill hole precisely, a laser pointer marks the point to guide the drill. The solid cast-iron base enables you to work without unwanted movement.

Stable bench drill

So far well and sturdily made, with a laser beam fixation that was or is well adjusted. The setting of the drilling speed with just one lever and reading the LED display is also very good, but other brands in the price range also offer this. What other brands in this price range don't have is the 8 cm stroke of the drill head and that was also my purchase criterion. But work table lighting, which I thought would be desirable and as advertised in the description, is unfortunately not available. Assembly is quick and self-explanatory. One thing I can't get over is why use battery operation for the laser beam when everything else is powered by 230 volts anyway? The drill head has a toothed ring, which is not exactly ideal for changing drill bits quickly and I bought a matching quick-release head separately. The machine is well aligned and the drill holes are perfectly acceptable. The technology with the toothed tie rod for moving the drilling table up/down is also not optimal because there is a little too much play in the table and the rod is only fixed in the upper and lower pipe stand ring without any further screwing. If necessary, you can or should add a clamping screw to the drilling table yourself. Apart from the missing work table lamp described, it is a reasonable table drill for the hobby but also semi-professional sector in the price range. I deduct a star for the missing work table lamp. Nevertheless, I would buy it again and can recommend it with a clear conscience.

MSW Standbohrmaschine TBBD-1500LS

The bench drill has been in operation for almost a week, with initial difficulties. First I wanted to download the full user manual online, unfortunately it was not available in all languages. When asked about availability via the operating instructions, expondo was unable to provide any information. So far so good! However, the assembly was quite easy and can be carried out understandably even without the operating instructions. Unfortunately, like the previous speakers, I discovered that only a cross laser was installed and the advertised work light was missing. Well, other brands have work lights in this price range. What other brands in this price range don't have is the 8 cm stroke of the drill head and that was also my purchase criterion. The only hammer is that even this information is not correct. The stroke is 60mm and not the advertised 80mm! Didn't the others notice? It's also a shame that the battery operation for the laser beam is low current - see the speed display. The drill head is equipped with a toothed ring (1.5-13mm), which is not exactly ideal for quickly changing drill bits. I also bought a quick-release chuck. The concentricity of the machine itself is good. The dial indicator shows 2/100, which is more than sufficient. The technique with the toothed tie rod for moving the drilling table up/down is not optimal because there is a little too much play when adjusting. In addition, the work table bends downwards under slightly heavier loads, so material was saved. Apart from the missing work table lamp described and the incorrect drilling stroke (at least for me), it is a reasonable table drill for the hobby but also semi-professional sector in the price range. I deducted two stars for the missing work table lamp and the drilling stroke that was too short. Nevertheless, I would buy it again because with some rework it is now a solid bench drill. I can still provide information regarding durability and procurement of spare parts.
