Product Description

Battery Isolator Switch - 12 - 48 V - 400 A

Over time, the electrical components in your caravan or boat slowly but surely drain the power from your supply battery. Especially when the vehicle is left to sit on land or in the water and the battery isn't recharged by the engine for long periods of time, the power circuit should be interrupted during these down times. The battery isolator switch MSW-BS1250B can interrupt two circuits either together or separately, thereby effectively protecting the battery.
The battery isolator switch is designed for a continuous load of 400 A and is ideal for small power supply systems in boats, caravans and other vehicles that draw their power supply from a car battery. With a starting current of 1,000 A and a peak load of 800 A, it can handle even higher loads without problems.
The battery switch has a range of 12 to 60 V and can be used for numerous electrical systems. It can even be combined with additional switches. The contact terminals are 12 mm and are made of high-quality tin-plate copper for optimum conductivity and corrosion resistance.
The marine isolator switch is equipped with a spark protection which makes it safe for use with vehicles operated with a petrol engine. You can use the knob to switch two circuits on or off, either together or separately, using the positions "On", "Off", I and II. This allows you to effortlessly adjust the power supply for your boat or caravan's specific circumstances.
The battery isolator switch is very simple to assemble. You can screw it to any smooth surface using the four mounting holes. Three sides of the durable plastic housing can be opened if needed to connect the cable for the power circuit. The housing provides plenty of protection even in maritime environments.

Very solid switch

Compared to conventional battery switches, it is a very large, massive switch. The only strange thing is that the item description states 400 A continuous load, but the operating instructions only state 275 A (see photo). The switch has 2 connections in size M12.

Is the circuit breaker really suitable for a continuous load of up to 400 A?

Is the circuit breaker really suitable for a continuous load of up to 400 A? The switch looks good and is sturdy. I'm just wondering why it says in the operating instructions that the switch can only withstand 275 A continuous load? That's why only 3 stars for now. When the dealer confirms to me in black and white that the switch can withstand 400 A, it gets 5 stars!
